Kris Van-Engen

 

Kris grew up on half a square mile of farmland outside of Alvord, Iowa with his parents, three brothers, large bean fields to weed and plenty of farm animals to feed and clean up after. Currently he is an ordained minister in the Reformed Church of America and works with World Renew, the CRC Office of Social Justice and U.S. congregations on climate change and immigration advocacy from a Biblical perspective. Kris was the assistant editor of the book Live Just.ly and co-creator of the Church Between Borders curriculum. He also serves on the advocacy steering committee for The Alliance to End Hunger and the board of Lighthouse Immigrant Advocates.
