Julie Morgan

 

 

Julie W. Morgan is co-chair and professor of Communication Studies at Eastern University (Pa). She earned her Ed.D. at Nova Southeastern University. Her areas of research include conflict and dialogue and the intersection of faith and culture.

Examples of her work include “A dialectic perspective on communication and ethical reasoning” in Christian Scholar’s Review, “Desperate for redemption: Desperate Housewives as redemptive media" in the Journal of Popular Culture and ““Happy Holidays”: Creating common ground in the ‘War on Christmas’” in the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture.  She is currently working on an invited book chapter applying the theology of Stanley Hauerwas to navigating conflict within faith communities and serves on the Christianity and Communication Studies Network advisory board.

When not at work, she enjoys time with her family, gardening, and running at her own pace.
